This Privacy Policy describes how HoopBase Inc. (“HoopBase”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information obtained from users (“Users”, “you”, or “your”) of the HoopBase mobile application (the “App”).

By accessing or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, you should discontinue use of the App.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect several types of information from and about users of the App.

Personal Information

When you create an account, we may collect personal information including:

• Username

• Password

• Profile photo (optional)

Only name and email address are required to create an account.

Optional Profile Information

Users may voluntarily provide additional profile information, including:

• Height

• Weight

• Basketball position

• Training goals

Providing this information is optional and intended solely to enhance the user experience.

Training and Performance Data

In order to provide training services, the App may collect and store user performance information including:

• Workouts completed

• Drills completed

• Training progress

• Performance metrics

This information is used to allow users to track their development and training activity.

User-Generated Content

Users may voluntarily submit or upload content to the App including:

• Profile images

• Workout videos

• Progress photos

• Messages or comments

By uploading such content, you grant HoopBase a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, display, and process the content solely for the purpose of operating the App and providing its features.

Users remain responsible for the content they upload and represent that they have the right to share such content.

Automatically Collected Information

When you access or use the App, certain technical information may be automatically collected by the App or its infrastructure providers, including:

• Device type

• Operating system

• IP address

• App usage data

• Diagnostic information and crash reports

This information is used to maintain and improve the functionality, stability, and performance of the App.

2. App Permissions

The App may request access to certain device permissions in order to enable specific features.

Camera

Access to the device camera may be requested to allow users to record or upload workout videos and progress photos.

Photo Library / Media Storage

Access may be requested to allow users to upload media files within the App.

Microphone

Microphone access may be required when recording video content within the App.

These permissions are optional and only utilized when users choose to upload or record content.

3. How We Use Information

We may use the information we collect for purposes including:

• Creating and managing user accounts

• Providing training programs and tracking performance

• Enabling messaging and communication features

• Sending push notifications and updates

• Improving the App and developing new features

• Monitoring system performance and resolving technical issues

• Providing customer support

• Preventing fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access

4. Push Notifications

The App may send push notifications related to:

• Workout reminders

• Training updates

• Platform announcements

Users may disable push notifications at any time through their device settings.

5. Payments and Subscriptions

All payments within the App are processed through Apple In-App Purchases.

HoopBase does not collect, store, or process payment card information. Payment transactions are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple’s payment policies and terms.

The App currently offers monthly subscription services through Apple’s billing system.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

HoopBase may utilize third-party service providers to operate and maintain the App, including providers responsible for:

• App hosting and infrastructure

• Analytics and diagnostics

• Payment processing through Apple

• App distribution through Apple App Store or Google Play

Such providers may process limited data necessary to perform their services on our behalf.

HoopBase does not authorize such providers to use user information for unrelated purposes.

7. Data Security

HoopBase implements reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect user information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

These safeguards may include:

• Secure infrastructure environments

• Encrypted communications

• Limited internal access to user data

Despite these measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and HoopBase cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

HoopBase retains user information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services through the App or to comply with applicable legal obligations.

If a user requests account deletion, HoopBase will take reasonable steps to remove personal data from active systems, except where retention is required for legitimate operational, legal, or security purposes.

9. User Rights

Subject to applicable law, users may request to:

• Access personal information held about them

• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information

• Request deletion of their account and personal data

HoopBase reserves the right to verify the identity of individuals submitting such requests.

10. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13.

HoopBase does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

11. International Data Transfers

HoopBase is operated from British Columbia, Canada, but the App may be accessed worldwide.

By using the App, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

12. Data Selling

HoopBase does not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties.

13. Compliance With Platform Policies

HoopBase strives to comply with the Apple App Store Review Guidelines and Google Play Developer Program Policies regarding privacy, security, and user data protection.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

HoopBase reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time.

Any changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date listed at the top of this document.

Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
